A Contemplative Path to tOTAL WELL-BEING
BODY. MIND. SOUL.
ICHTHUS
for men 40+
The ichthus — the simple outline of a fish--two arcs intersecting--is one of the oldest symbols in the Christian faith. In the early church, it was a quiet sign of recognition, drawn in the dirt or carved into stone, used by believers who needed to find one another without announcement. It asked no explanation. It simply said: I am one of you. You are not alone.
We carry that same spirit here. Ichthus is for men who are finding their way back to something true — in their faith, in their bodies, in themselves. The symbol reminds us that this journey is ancient, that others have made it before us, and that we were never meant to make it alone.
Cultivating Wholeness in the Second Half of Life
Ichthus is a contemplative community designed for men navigating the unique challenges of faith, embodiment and midlife. We offer a sanctuary of practice and support, fostering a total well-being approach to spiritual and physical health that promotes lasting wholeness for the body, mind and soul.
Building Integrated Wholeness Through Contemplative Practice
Our faith is not merely an intellectual pursuit, but a lived reality that involves the body and the soul. Our community invites men into a rhythm of contemplative stillness and intentional connection, rediscovering peace in the quiet spaces of midlife.
Through practices of silence, mindful movement and shared storytelling, we create a sanctuary for transition—where the challenges of faith are met with grace and a commitment to bodily wholeness.

Body
For too long, men have been taught that faith lives in the mind — that belief is a matter of intellectual assent, and that the body is at best a vehicle and at worst a distraction. Ichthus begins from a different place entirely.
Mind
Breath awareness begins with a simple truth: breath is the gift God breathed into us at creation. When we are anxious, it shortens. When we are at peace, it deepens. This is not coincidence — it is the way we are made.
Soul
There is a part of a man that knows when something is wrong long before he can name it. A restlessness that survives success. A hunger that comfort cannot satisfy. A quiet grief that follows him into rooms full of people. That is the soul speaking — and most men have spent decades learning not to listen.
